Feeling peachy!? Let's make a cocktail using peach candy!
I've been dying to use the @vanbrunt_whiskey that we bought right before the holidays especially since it's Brooklyn, NY based! I also had some @haribousa peach candy in the cupboard that I couldn't stop snacking on, so let's turn all this goodness into a cocktail!
Peach Perfect Whiskey Lemonade 🍋
- 2 ounces whiskey (I used Van Brunt Stillhouse Whiskey Rye).
- 1 oz peachy candy simple syrup (recipe below)
- 4 ounces lemonade
- Bubbly water (optional)
- Fresh Mint and lemons for garnish
Add your rye whiskey, simple syrup and lemon into a cocktail shaker. Give your mixture a good shake, pour out over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Top with bubbly water if you'd like (lemonade or plain would be best). Garnish with fresh mint, lemon and any leftover peach candy. This is best paired with a Saturday night TV marathon! Cheers!
Peach Candy Simple Syrup 🍑
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup beach candies
Pour water and peach candies into a pan and heat. Stir continuously until the candy dissolves and becomes fully liquid form. Let cool before using in your cocktail but warning ⚠️ if you put it into the fridge, it will firm up again like jello. This is a use right away type of deal.
