The Negroni Cocktail. Orange colored cocktail

Did you know that it's Negroni Week!? As someone who loves orange aperitif vibes, I am super jazzed about this cocktail (and not just because I love a sour). Yes Negronis can be bitter and very strong but I find that this recipe is a great alternative to a classic Negroni if you want less bitter and not quite as strong. I added maraschino cherry juice to cut the bitterness and the lemon juice helps cut how strong it is. Let's make a Negroni Sour!

Negroni Sour 🍊

- 1 oz Gin

- 1 oz Campari

- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth

- 1/2 oz fresh squeeze lemon juice

- 3/5 oz Maraschino Cherry Juice (you can also use Grenadine but I find that Maraschino juice has more flavor)

- 1 oz egg white (as long as it's pasteurized, you are golden!)

- Dehydrated Orange slice

Method:

Add all your liquid ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Using a frother, give it a good froth until it reaches frothy form and then add a couple pieces of ice. Close your cocktail shaker and give it a good couple shakes with the ice. In a frosted coupe glass, pour out your frothy goodness. #garnish with a dehydrated orange slice and get ready to not be able to put this cocktail down! Best enjoyed with a nice charcuterie board! Negronis go great with salty cheeses like blue cheese or parmesan. This cocktail is perfect before dinner since Campari is an aperitif! Enjoy!
