Cozy Autumn Cocktail: Rosemary Paloma Sour

November is here, bringing with it the cozy charm of fall rom coms, Thanksgiving gatherings, and the early whispers of Christmas. What better way to embrace the season than with a comforting cocktail in hand?

Introducing the Rosemary Paloma Sour, a drink that perfectly captures the essence of autumn. Inspired by the delightful signature cocktail at a friend's wedding, this drink is a twist on the classic Paloma, with a hint of rosemary that adds a cozy touch.

Rosemary Paloma Sour

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Tequila

  • 1 oz lemon or lime juice

  • 1/2 oz Rosemary Simple Syrup

  • 1 oz pasteurized liquid egg whites

  • 3/4 oz fresh grapefruit juice

  • 3 drops of Angostura bitters

  • Rosemary sprig for garnish

Directions:

  1. Chill the Glass: Start by placing your coupe or Nick and Nora glass in the freezer.

  2. Mix Your Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, lemon juice, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, and egg whites. Shake well without ice to emulsify (dry shake).

  3. Add Ice and Shake Again: Introduce ice to the shaker and give it another shake (wet shake) to chill the mixture.

  4. Strain and Serve: Double strain the cocktail into your chilled glass.

  5. Garnish: Add 3 drops of Angostura bitters and garnish with a rosemary sprig. For an extra touch, carefully flame the end of the rosemary sprig for a hint of smoke.

  6. Enjoy: Sip your Rosemary Paloma Sour while nestled in your comfiest attire next to a warm fire.
