Introduction:
As a New Yorker, there is something extra special about Manhattan during the holidays! In honor of the holiday hustle and bustle in the city, I thought I would do a little holiday spin on the classic Manhattan cocktail.
Preparation Ahead of Time
To prepare for this festive spin, I infused Sweet Vermouth with rosemary and I also soaked my maraschino cherries in Maraschino liqueur. This not only elevates the cocktail but also adds a delightful twist that aligns perfectly with the holiday spirit. This cocktail will definitely make you feel warm and fuzzy inside after a cold day out and about sightseeing in the city. Let's get our classic cocktail on.... Here's how to make your very own Christmas in Manhattan:

Ingredients
- 2 oz Rye Whiskey (you can also use Bourbon)
- 1 oz Rosemary Infused Sweet Vermouth (in a syrup dispenser add a couple ounces of sweet vermouth and a handful of rosemary. Let it sit for 5 days in the fridge before using)
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters - Orange peel to rim glass
- 3 Maraschino cherries soaked in Maraschino liqueur (I just took my regular jarred maraschino cherries which are soaked in corn syrup and soaked them in the liqueur instead)
Directions:
First, place your coupe glass in the freezer to chill. While the coupe glass is chilling, add your Rye into a cocktail mixing glass. Next, strain in your rosemary-infused Sweet Vermouth and finish off with 2 dashes of bitters. Add in a handful of ice and stir for 30 seconds or until you notice the class is cold. Take your frosted coupe glass out of the freezer, rim the glass with an orange peel and strain your mixture into the glass. Garnish with 3 of the maraschino liqueur-soaked maraschino cherries.
