Apple Mule Mocktail

Mocktail Mondays are here again (but this time, lets make it fall approved!) I cannot get enough of apple cider and I have been craving an apple cider donut but yet to get my hands on one. So with apple cider donuts on the brain, I wanted to do an apple inspired mocktail!
An important staple in your home bar is having a couple zero proof options! This makes your home bar super versatile and friendly to all beverage buddies. I HIGHLY recommend ritual zero proof! My home bar currently has a n/a mezcal tequila alternative, a n/a gin alternative and a n/a apple vodka alternative. We will be using the n/a apple vodka for this one!
Let's make a mule alternative inspired by a crisp fall apple!
Apple Mule Mocktail
- 2 oz zero proof apple vodka (ritual zero proof)
- 2 oz apple cider
- Squeeze of fresh orange juice
- Ginger Beer
- 1/2 oz cinnamon simple syrup (optional)
- Dehydrated Orange for garnish
- Mule Mug
- Bat Straw (because it's spooky szn!)
Method:
In a mixing glass, add your n/a apple vodka and squeeze of orange juice to a mixing glass (optional to add the cinnamon simple syrup if you want some extra sweetness). Give it a quick stir. In a fresh mule glass, add ice to the top and pour your n/a alcohol apple goodness into the glass. Top with ginger beer and give one more stir. #garnish with a dehydrated orange AND with a bat straw (linked below) ;) Because "it's freakin bats"! Best enjoyed while apple picking on a sunny fall afternoon!
Cinnamon Syrup:
- 1/2 Cup Hot water (I like to bring it to a boil)
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- Cinnamon Sticks (about 8-10)
Method: In a bowl, stir together the hot water and sugar. Stir together until the sugar has fully dissolved. Add in your cinnamon sticks, give it a good couple stirs and then let it sit for either 30 mins or overnight in the fridge covered. After it has sat, strain it into a mason jar and be sure to label! Flavor simple syrup usually lasts in the fridge sealed well for about 1-2 weeks.
